Trick or Treat at the Library (Oct. 26 @ 4 p.m. or 6:30 p.m., Arcadia Public Library 20 W. Duarte Road) Come in costume for some Halloween fun! There will be stories, activities, a video, and a snack. Plus, the chance to trick or treat through the Library. This is a drop-in program. No registration required, but space is limited.

The Adding Machine by Elmer Rice (Oct. 20 @ 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., PCC Center for the Arts Theater 1570 E. Colorado Blvd.) Pasadena City College Visual, Media and Performing Arts Theatre Division presents “The Adding Machine” by Elmer Rice. The Adding Machine is an expressionist, non-realism play. Faced with being replaced by a machine after 25 years of work, Mr. Zero kills his boss and is executed. His remaining days alive, and then in the afterlife, are a pursuit to understand just what is one’s purpose in life. A Fall Festival Feast and Concert (Oct. 22 @ 5:30 p.m., St Luke’s Episcopal Church, 122 S. California Ave.) The Episcopal Church, invites the community to join the parish for a catered reception and concert on Saturday evening. The celebration honors St. Luke’s 125 year history here in Monrovia and will highlight its many community partners who serve and enrich its beloved city.

Pasadena Ronald McDonald House First Annual ‘Trunk or Treat’ Event (Oct. 22 @ 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Pasadena Ronald McDonald House, 763 Pasadena Ave.) Pasadena Ronald McDonald House is proud and excited to present their first annual Trunk or Treat Event! Taking place at their Pasadena House. Families are invited to come in costume and join the Halloween festivities! Join the families as they “trunk or treat” at different cars at the house where they will participate in an activity and receive a prize at each car!  Artist Reception at Alkebulan Cultural Center (Oct. 23 @ 4 p.m. to 7p.m., Alkebulan Cultural Center, 1435 N. Raymond Ave.) Alkebulan Cultural Center will be featuring the eighth in a series of artist receptions of the Alkebulan’s Artist Gallery. Featured artists: Jackie Ellis, artist; Erin G. Family Fun Day on a Sunday Halloween Carnival (Oct. 23 @ 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Brookside Park, 360 North Arroyo Blvd.) The Sri Lanka Foundation (SLF) will be holding a Halloween version of Family Fun Day on a Sunday. The carnival will include a haunted house, jumper, pony rides, a magic show, carnival games and food, live music, and even a costume contest.
