-Night Sky Exploration Oct. 22
Come out and explore the night sky with Astronomer Carson Brucker on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at 6:30 p.m. Mr. Brucker will provide an informational slideshow presentation and answer children’s astronomical curiosities. The presentation will also include a hands-on experience for children to see and touch an actual meteorite. Program attendees will then venture outdoors and view the night sky using high-powered professional telescopes. Don’t miss this out of the world experience.
-Magic Show with Wayne Kawamoto Oct. 24
Experience some magical family fun with an afternoon of magic with magician and book author Wayne Kawamoto. Meet the world’s only “mind-reading money” on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at 2:30 p.m. No reservations are necessary and admission is always free at the Library. Space is limited so come early!
-Classical Kaleidoscope Concert Nov. 18
The Impressionist Era was richly represented by the harp and flute. The sonorities of Saint-Saens’ Fantasie and Debussy’s Trio along with Beethoven’s joyous Serenade will be performed in a program featuring Los Angeles Philharmonic flutist Elise Shope Henry. The Classical Kaleidoscope Concert Deep, Warm Textures will be performed on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, at 7 p.m.
Following this special classical concert for adults, guests are cordially invited to meet and speak with the musicians. Reservations are not necessary and admission is free. Come early as seating is limited to the first 150 people.
